Im afraid that the problem seems to be something else. Its not a connection problem between US and Germany.

Players in England and Spain are experiencing this problem. The transatlantic connections run directly from these countries to the US (not over Germany).
A Canadian guildy got a D/C when tryign to accept a dungeon reward from an NPC, and he confirmed that he was in town on a US server (no connection to Europe needed).

Im in Europe and can connect to any char that is not located in a GH on all of my accounts (tried it over 3 different accounts). I can move any char from any town to the GH and back without a problem.

As soon as I try to connect to a char that is in a GH on loading I get err13 messages.

EDIT: Tried it again just now. The situation seems to have been fixed. more players are also on towns it seems.

Could someone from ANet inform us what the exact problem was?

~Actually not having lagg even though i connected, which is a suprise, but i suppose i will soon.

I finally got into my guild hall. I was watching the ping carefully and the highest it got was 1k+. It settled down for the moment and I am able to switch to Euro districts. Currently my ping is 172 and stable. Seems they're trying to resolve it but I'm still being cautious.
lastly, this was anet's reply to my ticket:

This error is a temporary error. Please give it a couple of minutes and try again. Please let us know if you are still having this issue.

connecting smoothly, switching between districts, map traveling, chatting - everything works fine here. i'm just finishing a mission already, no lags, no problems on the way.
although i still keep myself on international district

OK, scratch my last post with the edit... the problem is back with a vengeance. Now I cant get onto any chars. All receive the Err40 now. And it doesnt matter if the chars are in a GH or not when I log onto them.

Euro servers still crashed, can't travel to pvp from GTOB it just get stuck on the way and kicks me from the game.

Oh, and Hero Battles is gone (even after talking to priest), probably landed in another dimension or something....may I call MacGyver to get my HB back?

we do read her posts. but saying its between us and germany doesnt explain why the euros in my allaince are still having issues.it only explains why i one of the americans in my allaince are having issues.
